Kothagudem man dies under suspicious circumstances in Dammam, wife alleges murder

Hyderabad: A 45-year-old man from Kodad town in Suryapet district died under suspicious circumstances in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, on Thursday. His wife, who resides in Kodad, has alleged that he was killed set on fire after petrol was poured over him.

The deceased, Tajuddin, had gone to Saudi Arabia a decade ago in search of work. Initially employed as a driver, he later opened a vegetable shop with help from a local Saudi national.

According to his family, he had been involved in a dispute with someone in Dammam for some time. His wife suspects that during an argument, this person poured petrol on him and set him ablaze. Tajuddin reportedly succumbed to burn injuries while undergoing treatment.

He is survived by his wife, a son, and a daughter. The family has appealed to the Indian government to help bring his body back home.
