Hyderabad: Minister for Roads & Buildings Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Wednesday extended financial assistance of ₹3 lakh for a mineral water plant in Y. Shagapur village, Wanaparthy district, encouraging youth-led governance and addressing local water scarcity. Komatireddy supports woman sarpanch through this initiative, making a direct impact on rural development.
The support was announced during his district tour after K.N. Nikitha, a third-year MBBS student and newly elected Sarpanch of Y. Shagapur in Pebberu mandal, raised the issue of drinking water shortage in her village. Notably, Komatireddy supports woman sarpanch Nikitha in her efforts to address critical local challenges.

Minister Komatireddy appreciated Nikitha for entering public service while continuing her medical education. He praised her leadership and sanctioned the ₹3 lakh grant through the Pratik Foundation to initiate the water project. Komatireddy supports woman sarpanch by providing essential resources for her leadership role. He also assured further support for ongoing village development efforts.
Nikitha thanked the Minister for the timely assistance and said such recognition would inspire more young people, especially women, to step into leadership roles in rural governance.
