Kolcharam RTC bus accident kills three near Rampur

Hyderabad: A Kolcharam RTC bus accident killed three people on Saturday evening near Rampur outskirts in Kolcharam mandal of Medak district.

The victims were returning home after attending a family function when a Telangana State Road Transport Corporation bus collided with their vehicle on the Medak–Hyderabad National Highway 765D.

According to eyewitnesses and relatives, Amruth Goud, 50, his son Rishi Vardhan Goud, 12, and his son-in-law Sai Goud, 35, died in the RTC bus accident.

All three belonged to Burugupalli village in Haveli Ghanpur mandal. Earlier in the day, they attended a relative’s cradle ceremony held in Rangampet village.

After the event, they started their return journey towards their village. However, the Kolcharam RTC bus accident occurred near Rampur outskirts when an RTC bus travelling from Medak towards Narsapur hit their vehicle.

Kolcharam RTC bus accident under police investigation

The impact of the Kolcharam RTC bus accident killed the three victims on the spot, according to local witnesses.

Relatives of the deceased later lodged a complaint with the police. Following the complaint, Kolcharam Sub-Inspector Mohammed Mohinuddin registered a case.

Police shifted the bodies to Medak district hospital for post-mortem examination.

Officials began an investigation into the RTC bus accident to determine the circumstances that led to the collision on the national highway.

The tragedy caused grief in Burugupalli village, where the victims lived. Family members and villagers gathered after receiving news of the fatal RTC bus accident.
