Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy directed officials to continue the allocation of Kokapet land to Sharada Peetham and cancel its transfer to the Water Board.
Representatives of the Peetham met the Chief Minister and raised concerns over ongoing construction works at the site. They informed him that authorities had allotted the Peetham land to the Water Board despite existing structures.
Subsequently, the Chief Minister convened a meeting with senior officials at the State Secretariat to review the issue. He sought details on the current status of constructions being undertaken under the aegis of Sharada Peetham in Kokapet.

During the review, the Chief Minister expressed displeasure that officials did not disclose the status of ongoing constructions while reallocating the land to the Water Board. He questioned the decision-making process and asked for a full report.
After examining the matter, he ordered officials to cancel the allocation made to the Water Board. He directed them to ensure that the Kokapet land for Sharada Peetham remained with the Peetham.
The Chief Minister also advised the Peetham representatives to meet Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu and explain the details of the constructions and related circumstances.
Officials were instructed to take immediate steps to implement the decision and complete the necessary administrative formalities without delay.
