Hyderabad, January 27: Union Minister and BJP State President Kishan Reddy has emphasised the need for the party to seize the favourable political environment in Telangana as the upcoming MLC elections approach. Addressing a preparatory meeting today, Reddy highlighted that elections are scheduled in 70% of the state’s mandals, covering three MLC seats. He expressed confidence in the BJP’s prospects, stating that the party is well-positioned to secure all three seats.
The meeting, chaired by Reddy, saw the participation of BJP leaders, including Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, in-charge of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, among others. Reddy underscored the importance of establishing comprehensive committees at various levels—booth, assembly, and district—to ensure effective coordination during the election campaign. He noted that current political dynamics indicate a public inclination towards the BJP, and the party should validate this support through the council elections.
Reddy also advised party members to engage directly with voters, suggesting a grassroots approach to campaigning. He announced plans to conduct workshops at the booth level and organise sessions district-wise or assembly-wise to streamline efforts. “Given the present political scenario, the public is leaning towards the BJP. We must confirm this through our performance in the council elections,” he stated. He further recommended dividing work at the booth level and conducting workshops at the district or assembly level to prepare effectively.
The BJP’s strategy focuses on capitalising on the current political climate and ensuring meticulous preparation at all organisational levels to achieve success in the forthcoming MLC elections.
