Hyderabad: Union Minister Kishan Reddy on Saturday lashed out at GHMC officials over poor civic maintenance in Krishnanagar colony of the Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency.
Touring the area after receiving complaints from residents, Reddy was told that drain water had been overflowing onto the roads for several days without any response from civic staff. Locals alleged no official bothered to address the issue despite repeated complaints.
Visibly angry, the minister called GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan on the spot and questioned whether he would ignore such a problem if it happened right outside his own house. He directed the commissioner to resolve the matter immediately.
Karnan assured the minister over the phone that remedial action would be taken without further delay.
