Kishan Reddy says Fit India needs healthy youth at Yuva Bharat Run 2026

Hyderabad: Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy said the vision of Fit India healthy youth can only be achieved through a strong and healthy young population while addressing the Yuva Bharat Run 2026 in Hyderabad on Sunday.

He participated in the event held at People’s Plaza, Necklace Road, which drew a large gathering of students and young professionals. The programme was organised under the leadership of MLC Malka Komaraiah, Chairman of Delhi Public School and Pallavi Group of Schools, along with CEO Yashasvi.

Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and state minister D. Sridhar Babu also attended the event, encouraging participants to adopt active lifestyles.

Kishan Reddy congratulated the youth who took part in the run. He described the initiative as a movement promoting health, unity, and the vision of a developed India and Telangana. He said India has one of the largest youth populations in the world, which can drive the country’s growth over the next 25 years.

Fit India healthy youth vision linked to nation building

The Union Minister said youth must play a central role in building a developed nation. He added that engaging young people in nation-building efforts will help India emerge stronger globally.

Referring to Swami Vivekananda, he said the leader remains an inspiration for youth. He noted that Vivekananda emphasised the importance of physical and mental strength.

Kishan Reddy stressed that “Young India and Fit India” can become reality only when youth prioritise their health. He extended his wishes to organisers and participants for promoting fitness and awareness through the event.

The Yuva Bharat Run 2026 formed part of broader efforts to encourage disciplined lifestyles and improve public health through community participation.
