Kavitha’s son Aditya joins BC bandh protest, demands 42% quota for BCs

Hyderabad: In a show of support for the BC bandh, Telangana Jagruthi president Kavitha organised a human chain protest at Khairatabad Junction on Saturday. Adding a new dimension to the agitation, her son Aditya also took part in the event.

Participating in the protest, Aditya said that BCs must receive 42 per cent reservations in local body elections. He urged every family to come forward and join the fight instead of leaving the struggle to a few leaders. “It is not enough if my mother alone fights. Everyone must step out and demand BC rights,” he said.

His comments drew attention from participants and bystanders, as it marked his first public appearance in a political event.

Observers noted that Aditya, who recently returned to India after completing his studies abroad, chose the BC bandh to make his first public intervention. His participation, alongside his mother Kavitha, added symbolic strength to the ongoing movement demanding fair representation for Backward Classes.

Kavitha reaffirmed that the agitation would continue until BCs secured their rightful 42 per cent quota in local bodies.
