Kavitha demands return of five Telangana villages merged into Andhra

Hyderabad: Telangana Jagruthi president and MLC Kavitha has called for the return of five villages from Andhra Pradesh that were originally part of Telangana’s Khammam district.

Posting on social media platform X, Kavitha said she would raise the issue during a meeting chaired by the Prime Minister. She alleged the villages, located in Bhadrachalam area of Bhadradri Kothagudem district, were unfairly and illegally merged with Andhra Pradesh.

Kavitha demanded that the Centre rectify the issue and reintegrate the villages with Telangana, citing severe hardships faced by their residents.

She urged the government to act with urgency and compassion to address the grievances of the affected population.
