Kavitha demands relocation of Amangal dumping yard by February

Hyderabad: Telangana Jagruthi president K. Kavitha, as she seeks to address multiple issues in the region, on Sunday accused the state government of lacking commitment to public health and demanded the immediate relocation of the dumping yard in Amangal municipality’s 6th ward.

Kavitha made the statement during her “Janam Baata” outreach programme, which reached Amangal in Ranga Reddy district on Sunday. After halting overnight at Salarpur village in Kadthal mandal, she inspected the dumping yard located amid residential homes in the municipal limits.

She said the yard was causing daily pollution and creating serious health problems for residents. “The people here are suffering. The dumping yard must be moved away from homes without delay,” she said.

Kavitha demanded that local MLA Kasireddy Narayan Reddy take urgent action. She warned that if the dumping yard is not relocated by February, her organisation would approach the High Court. The event saw participation from several Jagruthi leaders and a large number of local women.
