CM Revanth Reddy extends wishes for Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam’s acharya consecration

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has stated that the acharya consecration ceremony of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam will remain a cherished memory for the people of Telangana.

Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam, located in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, is recognised as one of the eighteen Maha Shakti Peetams in India. Known as a renowned centre of spiritual knowledge and Vedic learning, it continues to play a vital role in upholding Sanatana Dharma traditions.

In this context, Duddhu Satya Venkata Surya Subrahmanya Ganesh Sharma, who has long served the spiritual needs of Telangana, is now being consecrated as the 71st Acharya of the Peetam.

Extending his congratulations, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said that Ganesh Sharma had rendered devoted religious service to the Telangana region and to the deity Jnana Saraswati at Basara, in his capacity as a Rig Vedic scholar. He further acknowledged Sharma’s vast scholarly contributions not only in the Rig Veda but also in the Yajurveda, Samaveda, the six Vedangas, and the ten Upanishads—achievements made possible through the blessings of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Vijayendra Saraswati Swami.

The Chief Minister said that the consecration ceremony, scheduled to take place on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya (30 April), would pave the way for devotion, knowledge, and the guru lineage of Sanatana Dharma, leaving a lasting impression on the people of Telangana.

On behalf of the people of the state, Revanth Reddy extended his respects to the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam, expressing his wish that this sacred lineage would continue to uphold and spread dharma, knowledge, and peace to all of humanity.
