Three held for gold theft in Kanchanbagh, complainant’s son among accused

Hyderabad: Kanchanbagh Police arrested three persons, including the complainant’s son, in a gold theft case. Police recovered stolen ornaments during the operation.

Mohd Rahmath Shareef (56) filed a complaint after he noticed gold items missing from an almirah at his residence. The stolen property included two small necklaces, one long necklace, and two gold chains.

During the probe, police found that his son, Mohammed Adnaan Shareef, identified the location of the ornaments during a family function. Later, he conspired with two others and planned the theft.

According to police, the trio carried out theft on four occasions. They later handed over the stolen items for disposal. Investigators said financial needs and a desire for a lavish lifestyle drove the crime.
