Hyderabad: Kalpavriksha Vahanam was held at Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Jubilee Hills on Friday as part of the annual Brahmotsavams.
The Utsava deity blessed devotees during the morning procession. The temple organised the Vahanam along the four Mada Streets at 8 am.
Devotional bhajans marked the procession. Devotees also performed kolatam and traditional mangala vadyams accompanied the event. Many devotees offered harati and had darshan at various points along the route.
Temple officials supervised the arrangements. A large number of devotees participated in the celebrations.
Evening rituals follow Kalpavriksha Vahanam
Temple authorities announced that Unjal Seva would be held in the evening. This would be followed by Sarvabhoopala Vahanam as part of the Brahmotsavam schedule.
Officials said the rituals were conducted smoothly with active participation from devotees. The Kalpavriksha Vahanam formed a key highlight of the ongoing festivities at the temple.
