Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh appointed new Chief Justice of Telangana High Court

Hyderabad: Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh has been appointed the new Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court. The appointment received final approval from President Droupadi Murmu on Monday.

The Supreme Court Collegium had recently recommended Justice Singh’s name, following which the Union government forwarded it to the President.

Justice Singh began his legal career as an advocate in the Jharkhand High Court. He previously served as Chief Justice of the Tripura High Court.

His appointment is part of a series of judicial transfers and elevations aimed at strengthening high courts across the country.
