Hyderabad: Polling is scheduled to take place in Jubilee Hills on Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Election officials confirmed that all arrangements are complete for the high-profile by-election, which features 58 candidates and more than 4.01 lakh eligible voters.
2,060 polling staff to manage voting
Authorities have assigned 2,060 polling personnel, including Presiding Officers and Assistant Presiding Officers, to ensure smooth conduct. Additional polling officers will assist across the constituency.
Polling equipment, including Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) units, was moved securely from the strong room at Kotla Vijaya Bhaskara Reddy Stadium.
Top officials monitor final checks
District Election Officer R.V. Karnan and Joint Commissioner of Police Tafseer Iqbal inspected the stadium on Monday. They reviewed final preparations with polling teams and verified security arrangements.
Officials prepared 2,394 ballot units, 561 control units, and 595 VVPATs, citing the large number of candidates in the fray. Live webcasting has been set up at all 407 polling stations and will continue until voting ends.
