Jogipet man climbs cell tower over missing cash

Hyderabad: A Jogipet man climbed a cell tower on Saturday morning after alleging that Rs 4,000 was stolen from his pocket, triggering tension in the town.

The man, identified as Makkala Ashok, 28, is a resident of Jogipet. According to reports, a ward councillor had given him Rs 4,000 on Friday to vote in his favour. However, when Ashok woke up on Saturday at his residence, he found the money missing.

Angered by the loss, the man ran out of his house and climbed a nearby cell tower. He demanded that those who had taken the money return it immediately. Otherwise, he threatened to jump from the tower.

Jogipet man climbs down after family intervention

Family members and friends rushed to the spot after learning about the incident. They urged the man to come down and assured him that they would provide the amount.

After more than an hour of persuasion, he finally climbed down safely. The incident drew the attention of locals before the situation returned to normal.
