Jeedimetla police clear footpath encroachments in pedestrian safety drive

Hyderabad: Jeedimetla Traffic Police carried out a pedestrian safety drive and cleared footpath encroachments along a key stretch in the area.

Officials conducted the drive from Tulip Grand Hotel to Sai Baba Nagar to restore pedestrian movement. Teams removed temporary shops, signboards, and other obstructions from footpaths.

As a result, authorities reopened footpaths for public use and improved accessibility for pedestrians. The drive aimed to ensure safer and hassle-free movement in busy stretches.

Further, police coordinated with Gajularamaram Municipal Corporation officials to carry out the operation. Teams worked jointly to clear encroachments and regulate public spaces.

Meanwhile, Jeedimetla Traffic Police staff participated in the drive along with the station SHO. In addition, ACP Town Planning Sumitra and her team assisted in the operation.

Officials said such drives would continue to prevent illegal encroachments on footpaths. They added that maintaining clear walkways remained a priority for pedestrian safety.

Authorities also urged citizens to avoid occupying footpaths and cooperate with enforcement teams.
