MLA Janampalli Anirudh Reddy slams Jadcherla hospital incident

Hyderabad: MLA Janampalli Anirudh Reddy condemned the Jadcherla hospital incident and demanded strict action after stray dogs fed on a body at the Government Hospital.

Bhimesh, a resident of Nagasala village in Jadcherla municipality, fell into a pond and died. Later, authorities shifted his body to the Jadcherla Government Hospital.

However, hospital staff allegedly left the corpse unattended without basic security or sanitation safeguards. As a result, stray dogs entered the premises and fed on the body.

Expressing anger, the MLA conveyed condolences to the bereaved family. He said the lapse exposed grave administrative negligence and failure of supervision at the hospital.

Meanwhile, Janampalli Anirudh Reddy said he spoke to State Medical and Health Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha about the issue. He urged the government to suspend the staff and officials responsible for the lapse without delay.

Moreover, he sought a comprehensive inquiry into security and sanitation management at the hospital. If authorities find negligence, they must initiate strict disciplinary action, he said.

He asserted that government hospitals must function with accountability and protect human dignity at all times. Otherwise, such incidents will erode public trust and create fear among citizens.

Finally, the MLA said he will personally monitor the case until authorities deliver justice to the victim’s family and punish those responsible.
