Jagga Reddy donates ₹4 lakh to cancer patient, urges more donors to step forward

Hyderabad: Former Sangareddy MLA T Jagga Reddy has once again stepped in to help a local family battling cancer, this time donating ₹4 lakh in cash to a woman undergoing treatment. The gesture, he said, was not about publicity but about setting an example for others to follow.

On Monday, Jagga Reddy personally met the patient, Ranemma, at her home in Someshwaravada, Sangareddy, and handed over the money. He expressed deep concern about the financial pressure cancer places on families and said that such cases have become all too common in his constituency. “Many people come to me seeking medical help. I usually help them quietly, without any media attention,” he said.

However, he made an exception this time, choosing to go public in the hope that it would inspire other philanthropists across the state to come forward. “There are many donors in Telangana,” he noted, “and I want cancer patients to know that support is available.”

This isn’t his first act of personal generosity. A few months ago, Jagga Reddy had donated ₹10 lakh to Amani, a cancer patient from Sadasivpet. His continued efforts reflect a consistent commitment to healthcare support within Sangareddy, particularly for those facing life-threatening illnesses.
