Jadi Malkapur waterfall in Zaheerabad draws tourists after monsoon rains

Hyderabad: Heavy rains in neighbouring Karnataka have revived the Jadi Malkapur waterfall, bringing a sharp rise in visitors to the lone cascade in Telangana’s Sangareddy district.

Located near Jadi Malkapur village in Mogudampally mandal, the waterfall has become a seasonal magnet for tourists from both Telangana and Karnataka. Swollen by cross-border rainfall, the flow has surged, drawing weekend crowds.

The site lies within the Gottam Gutta forest along the interstate border. Apart from the waterfall’s monsoon appeal, the forest attracts birdwatchers with frequent sightings of rare species on both sides.

Around 20 km from Zaheerabad, the location is reachable by road and popular for short day trips. Visitors typically peak during the rainy months, when the area transforms into a lush, accessible monsoon destination.
