Hyderabad: A 56-year-old woman was strangled to death by her husband in a drunken state in Asra Thanda village of Nellikudur mandal in Mahabubabad district on Tuesday night.
The accused, identified as Badru, is reportedly a habitual drinker. In an intoxicated condition, he attacked his wife, Rangamma, and later strangled her to death.
Police registered a case based on a complaint filed by the victim’s daughter, Srilatha. The body was shifted to Mahabubabad Area Hospital for postmortem.
Investigation is underway.
