Hyderabad: The government released ₹48.79 crore under the Indiramma housing scheme to 4,473 beneficiaries, pushing forward timely payments. The Indiramma housing scheme links fund flow directly to construction progress.
Housing Corporation Managing Director V.P. Gautam said officials are taking steps to speed up bill disbursal. Consequently, teams issue payments every week based on construction stages.
During the past week, officials paid ₹17.23 crore to 1,969 beneficiaries who completed roof-level work. Meanwhile, they disbursed ₹31.56 crore to 2,504 beneficiaries who reached the slab level.
Indiramma housing scheme ties payments to construction stages
Officials said the government is moving steadily towards its target of completing one lakh houses. Moreover, authorities monitor construction stages to maintain steady fund flow.
So far, the government has disbursed ₹5,376.22 crore under the scheme. It provides financial assistance of up to ₹5 lakh per house in phases.
Out of the total, authorities allocated ₹2,125.98 crore for basement-level work. In addition, they provided ₹1,518.51 crore for roof-level completion. Further, they issued ₹1,731.73 crore for slab completion.
Across the state, authorities grounded 2.65 lakh houses under the programme. Meanwhile, 1,13,365 houses reached slab level. At the same time, 34,552 houses progressed to roof level.
Officials said 61,000 houses have completed the basement stage. Therefore, authorities continue to push construction activity across districts.
The government said it will accelerate construction and financial support under the Indiramma housing scheme to complete houses on time.
