Hyderabad: The Minister for Revenue, Housing, and Information & Public Relations Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy said Indiramma housing will continue as an ongoing programme, with the next phase set for rollout in April and May, telling the State Legislative Council.
Ponguleti said the government plans to construct Indiramma houses in every urban ward within three years. He added that the initiative reflects a sustained commitment rather than a one-time effort.
He said the government has completed the first phase of allotments. Meanwhile, it will implement the remaining phases in a structured manner.

The minister said the government is preparing a special plan to complete stalled houses in remote tribal habitations. At the same time, it will allow flexibility in construction stages for beneficiaries.
He stressed that authorities will ensure transparent beneficiary selection without discrimination. Priority, he said, will go to the poorest sections irrespective of caste, religion or political affiliation.
Ponguleti warned that officials will act against any irregularities. He said the government expects to complete around one lakh houses by March.
By June or July, the government plans to complete most of the three lakh houses sanctioned in the first phase. Therefore, it aims to accelerate execution across regions.
He said the government is giving special focus to urban housing. It is building houses close to beneficiaries’ existing locations to avoid livelihood disruptions.
The minister said this approach addresses earlier issues where beneficiaries could not utilise houses in distant areas.
He added that the government has cleared 99% of pending bills under the 2BHK scheme. Meanwhile, authorities will settle the remaining dues soon.
The government is also running a special 99-day programme to complete pending 2BHK houses and hand them over to eligible beneficiaries.
