Hyderabad: What was meant to be a celebratory break turned tragic for 25-year-old Gaurav Jaisingh, an Indian-origin student from the U.S., who died after falling from a hotel balcony in the Bahamas—just days before his graduation.
Gaurav, a student at Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts, had travelled to the Caribbean nation with a group of friends for a short holiday. The group checked into a hotel, planning to unwind before the upcoming convocation.
On Sunday evening, while walking around on the balcony of his hotel room, Gaurav reportedly slipped and fell in a tragic accident. He died on the spot.
The news has left his family and university community in deep shock. Bentley University has since issued a message of condolence, mourning the untimely loss of one of its students on the eve of such a significant life milestone.
