Hyderabad: Police busted an ice candy and lassi manufacturing unit in Mehdipatnam, seizing large quantities of products prepared in unhygienic conditions.
The Commissioner’s Task Force, Golconda Zone, along with Mehdipatnam Police, raided “Aliya Ice Cream Parlour” at Ahmed Nagar in First Lancer, Bada Bazar. During the operation, they apprehended Syed Musharafuddin (24), a resident of the same locality.

Officials found that the accused was manufacturing ice candies and lassi using unsafe ingredients and chemicals. He allegedly operated the unit under unhygienic conditions to earn illegal profits.
During the raid, police seized large quantities of ice candies, lassi products, raw materials and equipment. They also confiscated storage units and packing machinery used in the operation.
The total value of the seized material stood at approximately ₹5.44 lakh. Officials said the activity posed a serious risk to public health.
Police handed over the accused and seized items for further investigation.
