IAS officer Makarand appointed secretary to Telangana State Election Commission

Hyderabad: IAS officer Manda Makarand has been appointed secretary to the Telangana State Election Commission and assumed charge at the commission office in Masab Tank on Monday.

A 2020 batch officer, Makarand, is currently serving as project director at the Centre for Good Governance (CCSA) and will hold the SEC role as an additional responsibility.

With local body elections approaching, the state government has assigned the key post to an IAS officer to oversee preparations and coordination.
