Hyderabad: The Indian Air Force held a valedictory function at Air Force Station Begumpet on Saturday. The event honoured trainees from navigation and weapon systems courses.
Graduating officers completed the No.109 Advanced Navigation Course (ANC), No.141 ab-initio Navigation Course, and Stage-II and III Weapon System (WS) courses. Air Vice Marshal Sanjeev Kumar Taliyan, Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Intelligence), reviewed the proceedings.
The 109ᵗʰ ANC had seven officers, including two from the Indian Navy, one from the Indian Coast Guard, and one from the Royal Malaysian Air Force. These officers will soon take up instructional roles in their respective services.
The 141ˢᵗ ab-initio Navigation Course featured five Flight Cadets from the IAF and one officer from the Sri Lankan Air Force.
NTS and WSS train personnel from India and allied nations
Navigation Training School (NTS) and Weapon Systems School (WSS), both based at Begumpet, are vital IAF institutions. NTS has trained navigators for over 70 years. WSS, meanwhile, focuses on modern, effect-based training for the IAF’s new weapon systems branch.
During the ceremony, officials presented trophies, medals, and certificates to top performers. All graduating Flight Cadets will be commissioned as officers at the Combined Graduation Parade on December 13 at the Air Force Academy in Dundigal.
