Hyderabad: In a decisive move, HYDRAA action in Miyapur brought down a five-storey illegal building raised on government land belonging to HMDA. The demolition took place on Saturday morning after officials confirmed large-scale encroachment.
HYDRAA officials found that Bhanu Constructions had occupied 473 square yards of HMDA land in Survey No. 101. The builders merged it with their private layout in Ameenpur and created fake plot numbers. They expanded the site to about 873 square yards and built a five-floor structure.
HYDRAA confirms fake documents in Miyapur case
During checks, officers discovered forged LRS documents and a fake demand draft shown as proof of payment. Acting on a complaint from HMDA, HYDRAA, along with local revenue and municipal teams, inspected the spot. They confirmed the encroachment and cleared the illegal portion.
Officials said Bhanu Constructions had prepared false LRS papers in 2014. Police at Ameenpur registered a case and began a detailed probe into the land grab. Authorities said strict action would follow against those responsible.
