36-hour water supply disruption in Hyderabad from March 7 for Manjeera works

Hyderabad: Maintenance works at the Manjeera Phase-3 pump house in Peddapur will disrupt water supply in several parts of Hyderabad for 36 hours starting March 7.

Officials said the works involve removing high-tension electrical panels that have been in use for more than 35 years. New panels will replace the old equipment at the pump house.

Teams will also replace air valves on the 1600-mm pumping main pipeline between Peddapur and Singapur. Air vents on the 2000-mm gravity main pipeline between Singapur and Peddapur will also undergo repairs.

Water supply disruption for 36 hours

The works will begin at 8 am on March 7 and continue until 8 pm on March 8.

During this period, some areas will receive water supply at low pressure, while others may face a complete interruption.

Under O&M Division-3, supply to the Shaikpet reservoir will stop completely. Bhojagutta area will receive water at low pressure.

In O&M Division-18, supply will stop in Manikonda, Kokapet, Narsingi and Manchirevula.

Transmission-I and Transmission-II sections will also face a complete halt during the repair works.

Officials urged residents in the affected areas to store water in advance and use it carefully until water supply resumes.
