Hyderabad: Hyderabad city Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar issued a strict warning on distracted driving, saying drivers who streamed videos while driving invited fatal outcomes. He added that hands trusted to ensure a safe trip turned into tools of danger when used for entertainment. A single moment of negligence, he noted, had already triggered irreversible tragedies in the city.
Watching YouTube videos while driving, according to him, constituted a criminal act that endangered innocent people. The behaviour extended far beyond a routine traffic violation. He warned that the police would take strict action without delay.

Ride aggregators, Sajjanar said, must monitor the conduct of their drivers. He urged these platforms to maintain steady oversight to curb reckless behaviour on the road. Such vigilance, he explained, protected commuters from preventable harm.
Passengers received a clear request to report unsafe driving at once. Staying silent, he warned, increased the danger to everyone on the road. Quick complaints gave enforcement teams the chance to intervene before damage occurred.
Personal entertainment, he added, must never threaten innocent people. Sajjanar closed his message with an appeal for responsible driving and strict adherence to safety rules.
