Hyderabad: The Hyderabad City Police on Friday felicitated 446 officers and staff for exemplary performance in crime detection and investigation during the first half of 2025. The mega rewards programme, held at the CP Office Auditorium, ICCC Building, Banjara Hills, was led by City Police Commissioner C.V. Anand.
Awardees included 2 ACPs, 49 Inspectors, 38 SIs, 21 ASIs, 30 Head Constables, 220 Police Constables, 11 Home Guards, 45 Ministerial Staff, 25 Public Prosecutors and Assistant Public Prosecutors, and five others. The recognition covered personnel from across all wings of the department.

Addressing the gathering, Anand commended the force for maintaining law and order in a city of over 80 lakh people. He said handling diverse criminal activity and ensuring justice promptly was “an impossible task” that the Hyderabad police consistently excelled at. He also pointed to the work of the Women Safety Wing and the Cyber Crime Wing, saying their efforts have helped speed up crime control and case resolution.
The Commissioner lauded the dedication of officers despite challenges posed by the city’s rising population, 24-hour business activity, and active nightlife. He congratulated the awardees for their commitment and urged them to continue safeguarding the city’s peace and safety.
The event was attended by Additional CP (Crimes) P. Viswa Prasad, CCS DD Ma N. Shwetha, senior officers, and the award recipients.
