Fire at Hyderabad gas bunk injures two workers

Hyderabad: Two workers were critically injured when a major fire broke out at the Samruddhi Essar Unigas bunk in Hyderguda.

According to initial reports, the fire started at around 6:21 pm on Thursday when welding work was underway on a leaking air pipeline. Sparks from the welding torch are believed to have ignited escaping gas, causing flames to erupt suddenly.

As the fire intensified, workers scrambled to safety. However, two of them, identified as Madhav and Gopi, suffered serious burn injuries. They were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The fire caused panic in the Hyderguda area. Police have registered a case and begun an investigation.
