Hyderabad: An HIV injection attack came to light in Medchal district after a man allegedly injected infected blood into a woman following a personal dispute.
The incident occurred under Pocharam police station limits, creating shock among residents.
Police identified the accused as Manohar, a resident of Annojiguda.

According to police, the accused had been in a relationship with the victim, who is his relative.
However, the woman’s family recently fixed her engagement with another person. As a result, the accused developed resentment.
Driven by anger, he planned to harm the victim in a calculated manner.
He allegedly visited her house and forcibly injected HIV-infected blood into her body.
Days later, the woman developed severe fever. Subsequently, her family shifted her to a hospital for medical tests.
Doctors confirmed that she tested positive for HIV, which raised suspicion among family members.
The family later approached police, alleging the accused was responsible for the act.
Based on the complaint, police registered a case and arrested Manohar.
Meanwhile, locals and women’s groups demanded strict action against the accused for the brutal act.
