Harish Rao rushes to aid accident victims on highway, hailed for humanity

Hyderabad: In an inspiring display of compassion and quick action, former Telangana minister and sitting MLA Harish Rao came to the rescue of victims trapped in a major road accident near Sangareddy on the Mumbai National Highway, drawing praise for his swift response and humanitarian gesture.

The incident occurred near Peddapur when a lorry overturned on the highway, crashing into two cars and causing severe damage. Harish Rao, who was en route to Zaheerabad for a scheduled visit, happened to witness the crash firsthand.

Without hesitation, Harish Rao exited his vehicle and rushed to the accident site. With the help of locals, his accompanying staff, and party workers, he helped extricate the injured passengers from the mangled cars. Demonstrating personal commitment, Rao even transported some of the victims in his own vehicle to the nearest hospital for emergency treatment.

He also contacted the district Collector and Superintendent of Police to inform them of the situation, urging them to initiate necessary relief and support measures immediately.

Harish Rao’s intervention has been widely appreciated by locals and netizens alike, with many highlighting his act as a rare instance of public service beyond political obligation.
