Hyderabad: Former minister Harish Rao moved an adjournment motion in the Assembly, demanding immediate release of pending dues to retired employees.
BRS MLAs submitted the motion to the Assembly Secretary seeking urgent discussion during the budget session. The party flagged delays in gratuity, GPF and other retirement benefits.
Members urged the government to clear pending payments on priority. They also pressed for immediate financial relief to affected retirees.

The former minister said retired employees faced financial hardship due to delayed payments. Many families, he added, struggled to meet basic expenses.
The BRS demanded allocation of funds in the ongoing budget. It also sought a clear statement from the government on release of dues.
The party said it would continue to raise the issue both inside and outside the Assembly.
