Hyderabad: Officials from the Drugs Control Administration (DCA), Telangana, raided an illegal clinic at Damera village in Elkathurthi mandal, Hanamkonda district, and seized a stock of unlicensed medicines.
Unqualified man ran illegal clinic without licence
The clinic, named ‘First Aid Clinic’, was being run by Swargam Sathish Babu. He had no medical qualifications but continued to treat patients without legal authorisation.
Inspectors found 30 types of medicines at the site, including antibiotics and steroids, all kept without a valid drug licence. The total value of the seized drugs was ₹21,650.
Officials warned that misuse of antibiotics may lead to antimicrobial resistance. They also noted that steroids, when misused, can cause severe health problems.
The team collected samples of the medicines for lab testing. Legal action is being taken against Sathish Babu.
