Mumbai, January 27: Prices of gold and silver declined in the Indian bullion market on Monday.
According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold fell by Rs 300 to Rs 80,048. Just a day earlier, gold was priced at Rs 80,348 per 10 grams. On 24 January, gold had reached its all-time high of Rs 80,430 per 10 grams.
Similarly, silver prices witnessed a significant drop. Silver fell by Rs 1,355, bringing its price to Rs 89,856 per kilogram. Previously, silver was trading at Rs 91,211 per kilogram. The all-time high for silver was recorded on 23 October 2024, when it touched Rs 99,151 per kilogram.
The decline in precious metal prices comes after recent volatility in global and domestic markets. Investors and buyers are closely monitoring trends, as gold and silver have been popular choices for hedging against market uncertainties.
