Hyderabad: GHMC issued a final call to taxpayers to use the one-time settlement scheme (GHMC OTS scheme) before the March 31 deadline to clear pending property tax dues.
With only one day remaining, Commissioner R.V. Karnan urged residents to settle arrears immediately. He said the scheme offered a 90 percent waiver on interest for outstanding dues.
Under the scheme for 2025–26, the State government allowed taxpayers to clear arrears with a steep interest rebate. However, authorities restricted payments to online modes only.

Karnan said early compliance would help avoid penalties. Therefore, he urged taxpayers to act before the deadline lapses.
He warned that the Corporation would initiate strict action against defaulters after March 31. Officials said enforcement would follow provisions under the GHMC Act.
