Hyderabad: GHMC announced December 20, 2025, as the last date for trade licence renewal for all business establishments in the city. The civic body urged traders to complete the process early to avoid penalties and delays during verification.
Officials said applications filed on or before the December 20 deadline will not attract any penalty. The Commissioner advised traders to renew their licences online in advance to prevent system congestion near the cut-off date.
GHMC outlines penalty slabs for trade licence renewal
A 25 per cent penalty will apply to applications submitted between December 21, 2025, and February 19, 2026. GHMC will impose a 50 per cent penalty on applications filed after February 20, 2026. Officials said the graded structure aims to improve compliance and streamline annual licence processing across commercial units.
GHMC advised all establishments to keep the required documents ready for inspection and follow the renewal timeline carefully. The civic body added that enforcement teams would continue checks to ensure every active business holds a valid licence for 2026.
