GHMC approves ₹2 crore civic development fund for each division

Hyderabad: The GHMC General Body on Tuesday approved a major civic infrastructure resolution. It cleared ₹2 crore in development funds for each of the 150 municipal divisions in Hyderabad.

Under the plan, ₹1 crore will be allocated for works proposed by the respective Corporator. Meanwhile, the remaining ₹1 crore will be earmarked for projects identified in coordination with the District In-charge Minister. The funding aims to address key civic needs such as road repairs and drainage upgrades. It also includes street lighting, pollution control, rainwater channels, parks, and other public amenities.

GHMC development fund to boost urban works across Hyderabad

Deputy Mayor Mothe Srilatha Shobhan Reddy stated that all sanctioned works will be executed transparently. She said the initiative would especially benefit areas like Tarnaka. These areas are being positioned as models of urban planning and delivery.

She credited Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and the Congress-led government for releasing the funds. She said the funds would accelerate civic improvements and enhance public satisfaction across all GHMC zones.
