Hyderabad: Gajwel bandh disrupted normal life on Monday as BRS cadres staged protests against an alleged attack on the MLA camp office, leading to tense conditions in the constituency.
Party leaders and workers took to the streets in large numbers and launched demonstrations at key locations. As a result, daily activities slowed down across several parts of Gajwel.
BRS constituency in-charge Vanteru Prathap Reddy led the protest at the Gajwel–Pragnapur bus depot. He and party cadres staged a sit-in and blocked bus movement.
From early morning, protesters stopped buses from leaving the depot. Consequently, passengers faced significant inconvenience.

He urged authorities to identify the accused and initiate strict action without delay. Meanwhile, the bandh call received strong response from traders and institutions.
