Gaddar Film Awards 2025 winners announced; jury meets Deputy CM

Hyderabad: The Telangana government announced the winners of the Gaddar Film Awards for 2025 after the jury met Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka and submitted the final list of awardees.

Earlier, jury members visited Praja Bhavan and briefed the Deputy Chief Minister on the selection process and preparations for the awards ceremony. The state instituted the awards in honour of revolutionary balladeer Gaddar to recognise achievements in Telugu cinema.

The jury selected Raj Weds Rambai as the best film of the year. Actor Naga Chaitanya won the best actor award for Thandel, while Rashmika Mandanna received the best actress award for her role in The Girlfriend.

The film Dandora secured the second best film award. Meanwhile, The Free Wedding Show won the third best film honour.

Top honours announced at Gaddar Film Awards 2025

The film Thandel also received the National Integration Film award. In addition, Court won the award for best social message film, while the documentary Unity secured the best documentary award.

The film Sankranthiki Vasthunnam received the best popular film honour. Director Sai Marthand won the best debut director award for Little Hearts. The film Anaganaga received the best children’s film award, and actor Shivaji won the best supporting actor award.

Several distinguished personalities also received special honours. Megastar Chiranjeevi received the NTR National Award, while Kamal Haasan received the Paidhi Jairaj Award.

Lyricist Suddala Ashok Teja received the C. Narayana Reddy award. Producer Ramesh Prasad received the Raghupathi Venkaiah Award, and veteran actress Jayasudha received the Akkineni Nageswara Rao Award.

Producer Ashwini Dutt received the Nagireddy–Chakrapani Award. Filmmaker Singeetam Srinivasa Rao received the B. N. Reddy Film Award, while actor R. Narayana Murthy received the Kantha Rao Award.

Film producer Dil Raju, chairman of the Telangana Film Development Corporation, attended the meeting with the Deputy Chief Minister along with actor Tanikella Bharani and actors Roja Ramani and Pragathi.

Music director Mani Sharma chaired the jury that finalised the list of award recipients.
