Fuel LPG supply stable in Telangana with 2.18 lakh daily deliveries

Hyderabad: Oil Marketing Companies said Fuel LPG supply stable conditions prevailed in Telangana, with sufficient petrol, diesel and LPG stocks available to meet current demand. They said the system had remained steady due to continuous monitoring and coordinated action.

Officials said domestic LPG distribution had been prioritised to ensure uninterrupted supply. As a result, around 2.18 lakh LPG cylinders were being delivered daily across the state. This figure exceeded the pre-war daily average of 2,15,151 cylinders, indicating a stable supply network.

They said demand for petrol and diesel had moderated in recent days. It had returned to levels seen before the recent surge. Similarly, LPG refill bookings had dropped sharply as panic-driven demand subsided.

Fuel LPG supply stable as demand moderates

The State-level Coordinator for OMCs said public sector oil companies had closely monitored the situation. They had also taken steps to streamline logistics and speed up deliveries. Therefore, supply chains had functioned without disruption.

OMCs remained in constant coordination with the State Government. Officials addressed operational issues on a daily basis to maintain uninterrupted fuel supply. This coordination ensured that petrol, diesel and LPG availability remained consistent across Telangana.

At the same time, consumers were encouraged to adopt digital booking methods. Officials advised using SMS, missed call and IVRS platforms for LPG bookings. They also promoted the Delivery Authentication Code system to ensure cylinders reached the rightful beneficiary.

Fuel LPG supply stable with PNG expansion push

Authorities said both the Central and State Governments had promoted Piped Natural Gas as an alternative cooking fuel. They described PNG as convenient, safe and efficient for households.

PNG services were available in Hyderabad, Medchal, Sangareddy, Choutuppal, Nalgonda, Warangal, Khammam, Shadnagar and Ramagundam. Officials said efforts were underway to expand PNG connectivity to more urban and semi-urban areas.

In addition, special provisions were in place for migrant workers and students. Those without local address proof could access 5-kg free trade LPG cylinders. They could obtain these from authorised distributors by submitting valid identity proof and a self-declaration.

Officials said these measures had strengthened access and ensured equitable distribution. In that context, Fuel LPG supply stable conditions reflected effective coordination and responsive supply management across Telangana.
