Hyderabad: A tragic road accident unfolded early Monday near Ranga Pur on National Highway 163 in Telangana’s Vikarabad district. A private travel bus, carrying wedding attendees, rammed into a parked lorry, killing four people on the spot and injuring over 20 others.
The deceased have been identified as Malesh, Sandeep, Balamani, and Hemlata. At least six of the injured are reported to be in critical condition.
According to police, the bus was returning from a wedding when the crash occurred. All passengers were residents of Chandan Velly village in Shadnagar mandal of Ranga Reddy district.
Emergency services reached the scene shortly after being alerted. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police have filed a case and launched an investigation into the circumstances leading to the collision.
