Five-year-old girl found murdered in Korutla bathroom, police suspect local man

Hyderabad: A five-year-old girl was found brutally murdered in a bathroom in Korutla town of Jagitial district, sending shockwaves through the locality.

The victim, identified as Hithiksha of Adarshanagar, went missing on the evening of July 4. Her family and neighbours launched a search but found her dead the next day in a bathroom of a nearby house, lying in a pool of blood with her throat slit.

Police reached the spot after receiving a complaint from the parents and shifted the body to a local hospital for a post-mortem. A case was registered under the Korutla police station limits, and an investigation is underway.

Preliminary suspicion has fallen on a local man known as ‘Psycho Vijay,’ police said, though they have not ruled out other possibilities. Teams have launched a search to track him down.

Family members were inconsolable after seeing the girl’s body, demanding swift justice.
