Five laptops stolen from government school in Moinabad

Hyderabad: Unidentified persons broke into a government school in Moinabad mandal and stole five laptops along with other electronic devices, police said on Monday.

The burglary occurred at the Zilla Parishad High School in Tholkata village under Moinabad police station limits. According to police, teachers had locked the school at 3:20 p.m. on Friday before leaving for the day.

On Sunday evening around 5 p.m., Lakshmi, an ayah working at the school, arrived at the premises along with her husband Kishtayya. When they inspected the computer room, they found that the door had been broken. They immediately informed headmaster K. Ramulu about the suspected break-in.

Headmaster Ramulu reached the school at 8:30 a.m. on Monday to examine the room. Upon inspection, he discovered that five laptops, a projector, a CPU, keyboards, cables, and other accessories were missing.

Based on his complaint, Moinabad police registered a case and launched an investigation.
