Kadapa: A fire accident in Kadapa district destroyed property worth an estimated ₹50 lakh on Thursday. The incident took place at a furniture store in Budvel town.
Flames broke out suddenly inside the premises. The shop owners alerted the fire department, following which fire and rescue teams reached the location and brought the blaze under control.
Preliminary estimates suggest that furniture and other goods worth around ₹50 lakh were lost in the fire. A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire.
Shop owners said the entire stock was reduced to ashes in front of their eyes. They urged the government to intervene and provide compensation.
