Hyderabad: A major fire broke out at a furniture warehouse in Chandanagar on Thursday night, triggering panic among residents and motorists.
The blaze erupted at Anu Furniture and Electronics showroom located opposite the Chandanagar Police Station along the main road.
Officials said the store operated from a five-storey building. A large quantity of furniture stocked inside reportedly caught flames.
Firefighters rushed to the spot soon after receiving information about the incident. They deployed four fire engines to control the blaze.

Thick smoke and flames billowed from the building as the blaze spread through the furniture stored inside.
The incident occurred along a busy road in Chandanagar. Consequently, heavy traffic congestion developed in the surrounding area.
Local police also reached the spot soon after the incident. Officers began regulating traffic to ease vehicle movement.
Fire personnel continued efforts to bring the flames under control.
Meanwhile, officials said the exact cause of the incident has not yet been ascertained.
