Hyderabad: A major Fire accident at Chevella destroyed an automobile warehouse on Shankarpally Road in Ranga Reddy district, causing an estimated property loss of around Rs 2 crore, officials said.
The blaze erupted at Rishita Automobiles’ warehouse after an alleged short circuit triggered flames. The fire quickly spread through the premises and engulfed spare parts belonging to Hero Honda stored in the godown.
Fire department personnel rushed to the spot after receiving information. They deployed fire engines and brought the flames under control after sustained efforts.
No one was present inside the warehouse at the time of the incident. Therefore, authorities confirmed that no casualties or injuries were reported in the Fire accident in Chevella.

Preliminary findings indicated that a short circuit led to the Fire accident in Chevella. The intense heat reduced large quantities of spare parts to ashes before firefighters contained the blaze.
Officials assessed the damage and estimated the loss at nearly Rs 2 crore due to the destruction of automobile components. Authorities are verifying the exact extent of the damage and examining electrical connections as part of further inquiry.
