EVM warehouse inspection conducted by Telangana CEO in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: EVM warehouse inspection was conducted by State Chief Electoral Officer C. Sudarshan Reddy at the Electronic Voting Machines storage facility in Chudi Bazaar on Wednesday. He reviewed security and operational arrangements at the site.

During the visit, the official examined the strict security measures in place to safeguard the machines. He also assessed the 24-hour surveillance system and ensured compliance with Election Commission guidelines.

In addition, he reviewed ventilation arrangements at the warehouse. Officials confirmed that authorities maintained conditions as per prescribed norms for safe storage of EVMs.

C. Sudarshan Reddy also inspected fire safety measures at the facility. He checked whether adequate fire prevention systems were installed and functioning properly.

Further, he examined the availability of uninterrupted power supply and backup systems. These systems ensure continuous monitoring and protection of the stored machines.

The inspection focused on verifying adherence to all required protocols. Therefore, officials assessed both physical security and technical infrastructure at the warehouse.

The Chief Electoral Officer stressed the importance of maintaining strict standards for EVM storage. He reviewed whether authorities followed Election Commission norms in all aspects of management.

GHMC Election Wing Additional Commissioner Chandrakala accompanied him during the inspection. Representatives of various political parties also attended the visit.

Officials said the EVM warehouse inspection aimed to strengthen transparency and ensure confidence in the electoral process.
